Hospice Family Therapy

Caring for a loved one during the final stages of life.

Hospice is not only a medical journey  it is a family journey. Anticipatory grief, strained communication, caregiver burnout, and unspoken goodbyes can weigh on everyone in the household. Our Hospice Family Therapy is led by a licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed mental health counselor, and certified end-of-life doula, offering a depth of clinical and experiential support that general bereavement services cannot provide.

About Your Therapist

Hospice Family Therapy with Tamarra Aristilde-Calixte, LMFT, LMHC, NCC, End-of-Life Doula

Unlike general grief support, your family will be working with a licensed clinician who specializes in both family systems therapy and end-of-life care a combination rarely found under one roof.
LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist): Specialized training in treating families as a system. Instead of working with one person in isolation, I help the whole family unit communicate, resolve conflict, and grieve together as roles shift during a loved one’s decline.
LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor): Clinically licensed to assess and treat the mental health conditions that often surface in hospice anticipatory grief, complicated bereavement, caregiver depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders.
NCC (National Certified Counselor): Board-certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors, reflecting advanced training and adherence to national ethical standards.
Certified End-of-Life Doula: Non-medical, holistic support for the dying person and their loved ones vigil planning, legacy projects, and coordination with your hospice team.
This dual training means one trusted relationship can hold both the clinical therapy work and the sacred, non-medical presence work your family needs without handing you off between providers.
